I love these Improv Everywhere people… huge-scale, amazing, public displays of unexpected craziness. All harmless, fun, and good-spirited. There’s enough prank-type shows out there that are all about embarrassing people, uncomfortable and awkward situations. Just never been my particular brand of funny.
These guys though, right up my alley. I just might have to see what I can do about a “scene” or two here in the River City!
Sometimes, painful sacrifices must be made for the greater good.
My girlfriend and I want a house. We have two cars. We only need one car. Her car is paid for.
Anyone want to buy the coolest car I’ve ever owned?
As difficult as it may be for me, I am offering someone else the opportunity to own one of the most unique and kick-ass vehicles on the road today. You can’t get these in Canada. Heck, there’s only about a half-dozen states in the US that are selling them right now. I’ve seen a grand total of three other Scion xB’s in Alberta.
You want a car with a ton of head room, amazing gas milage, buckets of storage space, and an appearance guaranteed to get you noticed on the street… this is the one.
I’ve kept her stock, aside from an upgraded stereo with an MP3 player input jack on the face for my iPod, but if you were so inclined you could mod this thing up like crazy. Do a google image search on Scion xB and see some of the stuff people have done.
I’m asking $24,900. $100 off if you can tell me what my license plate means. If you’d like to talk to me about it, leave a message in the comments or e-mail me at michael@buymyscion.com.
Sorry about the post flood lately… I haven’t been keeping up with my bloggy-blog in the last few months, but I kept tossing stuff in my “to post” file. The last couple days I’ve been trying to get through it all, and I’m finally caught up.
Of course, this has all been at the expense of actual work, so I won’t be spending quite so much time playing on here in the future (I hope!). A couple times a week should suffice. Hope that’s cool with you too.
SmithsonianImages.SI.Edu has 6,288 images of tremendous historical significance, but this federal institution protects their “property” with draconian copyright notices.
Most of this stuff appears to be in the public domain which means you can do whatever you want with it, but the Smithsonian site has considerably chilled our ability to increase or diffuse this knowledge.
To better ascertain the public domain nature of this archive, we scraped their html and piped all 6,288 lo-res images to Flickr (check out the cool tag cloud). For those interested in purchasing images to upload back into the public domain, we’ve created a public domain prospectus on Lulu. For the historic Muybridge Cyanotypes, we’ve started purchasing the hi-res images and have posted those for bulk download as well as created a series of derivative works.
There is a 2-page memo explaining the issues and the actions we’ve undertaken to better increase and diffuse this knowledge onto the net.
Hit the band, light the fireworks, start the BBQ, and strip the virgins… baby, I’m back in town!!
Yes, the rumours are true, the prayers have been answered, the quest is over.

Hell. Yes. I’m. Back.
Like Superman and the prodigal son, I have returned.
I thought I was out East to find money fame and fortune. Instead I found something much more valuable, and brought her back with me. True love (not “to bluff“) has embiggened me far beyond my imaginings. One more reason for Ontario to hate us, I stole the best girl in the land. Expect repercussions. If we didn’t have a Westerner in the big seat, I probably would have been stopped at the border.
So, yeah, I’m in the middle of getting packed up and about to start the roadtrip West, so little things like fixing templates and posting stories and pictures and links and fun stuff like that are going to have to wait a bit.
Found this cool-looking template on www.isnaini.com. It’ll do for now.
Thanks for your patience, I’ve got some great stories for you once I get all settled in the Mighty Metropolis of Edmonton!!
