It’s hard to write sometimes.
I gotta be in the right (write?) mood.
I have to at least have some energy or ambition… some drive to reach out and communicate, share what I’m thinking or what I’ve read or seen or experienced.
It’s not just having the energy to write, it’s having the energy to write right.
Right?
Right.
…
I can’t just sit down and pour out my heart and mind. My ego has put me in a position where I have to self-censor for my own sake. I know I’ve written about this before, but it is a constant struggle to balance sharing what is going on in my life and my need for the occasional mental download with the feelings of those in my life that may not want the details of our relationship aired out for everyone else to read.
That’s just the way I am. No matter the schadenfreude people get from reading such vitriol (myself included), I will not lower myself to that level. I will not hurt/insult/sacrifice those I care about merely for my own psychic catharsis.

That being said, I have no problem sharing with the world those mercifully brief moments in my life where instead of my usual level of ecstatic bliss and universal oneness, I am so miserably frustrated and unhappy as to lovingly dream of the rough caress of a concrete wall upon my pistoning skull.
All moments pass, as will these, and I’m sure at some point in my future I shall draw strength from such struggles… but the thickness of the scar means little to the flesh dying before today’s blade.
Anyway, that’s why it’s taking so long to get our West Coast Trail report up. Hard to thing about the yay when there’s so much boo in the way.
Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day!!
